As we commemorate International Black Women’s History Month, it is our privilege to introduce Crystal Mance, a multifaceted personality who excels as an Author, Daughter of the King, Coach, Pastor, Preacher, Conference Speaker, and Entrepreneur.
Crystal holds a master’s degree in Life Coaching and Biblical Counseling, as well as a bachelor’s degree in business management.
In her book, R.E.S.E.T. Releasing Every Situation Encourages Transformation, Crystal shares her personal experience of being mentally and emotionally burned out, and how the love, grace, and mercy of God healed her heart, transformed her mind, and taught her who she is as a Daughter of the King. She offers a plethora of life strategies and wisdom nuggets that she gained through her journey of healing, empowering women to move from a place of brokenness and burnout to a place of healing, wholeness, and peace.
Crystal’s ministry transcends geographical boundaries as she inspires and encourages women worldwide to release the pain of their past and allow the Lord to transform their hearts into a place of healing and wholeness. She also motivates them to embrace their identity in Christ and fulfill their earthly purpose.
A dynamic and inspiring woman of God, Crystal served as a Women’s Pastor at Bethel Deliverance International Church for over a decade, and held several leadership positions in ministry in Houston and the Philadelphia area for more than 20 years. Crystal and her husband, Darryl, reside in the metro Atlanta area and are proud parents of two adult children.
What inspired you to become an author?
Crystal: The Lord led me to write a book. From 2016–2020 I experienced mental and emotional burnout and felt like I was losing my mind. I didn’t understand it at the time, but I knew something just wasn’t right. I was overwhelmed and doing everything for everyone, except myself. Needless to say, I gave so much of myself that there was little left of Crystal, my goals, dreams, and aspirations. During the early part of the pandemic, the Lord revealed to me that I was mentally and emotionally burned out. Between therapy, starting a new health journey with food, and prayer, the Lord took me through a process of healing. As I started the process of changing my eating habits to eat healthier the Lord showed me that it wasn’t just about changing my eating habits, but that this would be a total R.E.S.E.T. (mind, body, soul, and spirit) and that I need to share my process with others. God has always used me to be transparent in my journey with Him, so this was no different. As I was writing my book, I was instructed to make the chapters life nuggets, for others to follow and carry along on their journey with Him.
As an Entrepreneur, what services and resources do you provide?
Crystal: Masterclasses, Coaching, and Speaker at conferences, retreats, bible studies, and events.
What have been some challenges you’ve overcome to reach this point in your career?
Crystal: I had to fight past procrastination and my loyalty to others, and what they would say or think. As I pressed into the Lord and asked Him to lead and guide me, my path has become clearer and I can walk and live in my purpose.
What is a super fun fact about yourself that many people are not aware of?
Crystal: I love to ride motorcycles, swim, and dance. I also love going to the beach listening to jazz, watching the beauty of the ocean, and hanging out with my family, Sister Cousin, and Sister friends.
What are you currently working on?
Crystal: I’m working on a collaboration book with a workbook in the works shortly thereafter.
What else would you like our readers to know about you and the work that you do?
Crystal: I have a passion to help women heal and become all that God has called them to be. I love to see them encouraged when that light comes on and their heart is sold out to God. I understand that scripture that says: some we plant, some we water, but God gets the increase. We are often more loyal and obligated to others, and push ourselves to the background. I used to be there, so I love being transparent about how God healed me and helped me remove all those hats I was wearing that were never mine to begin with. It’s such a blessing to be free and know how to prioritize myself, my life, and my journey. I get excited when I see my Sisters live in the freedom and peace of God and fulfill their life purpose.
