NFL MOCK DRAFT

The NFL draft is here! Here is my mini mock draft consisting of the first 15 picks in this draft. I do not predict trades in this mock draft. In this exercise, this is what I believe the teams would do given what players are available. HERE WE GO!

  1. Team: Jacksonville Jaguars

Position: Quarterback

Selection: Trevor Lawrence / College: Clemson

The best prospect to come out since Andrew Luck. This is a no-brainer in my eyes. Trevor with his new head coach Urban Meyer start a new era in Jacksonville.

  1.  Team: New York Jets

Selection: Zach Wilson

Position: Quarterback / College: Brigham Young University

Zach Wilson has the arm talent unlike anyone in this draft. We shall see if the New York Jets will surround him with the pieces unlike, they did Sam Darnold.

  1. Team: San Francisco 49ers

Selection: Trey Lance

Position: Quarterback / College: North Dakota State University

This is a hard prediction. I cannot believe the San Francisco 49ers came up from the 12th spot to draft Mac Jones. Trey Lance had the highest upside in my opinion in this draft.

  1. Team: Atlanta Falcons

Selection: Kyle Pitts

Position: Tight End / College: Florida

The best player in the draft period. He will be better at his position than anyone else will be. No is going to stop Kyle Pitts, Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley. They will be one of the more explosive offensive teams in the league.

  1. Team: Cincinnati Bengals

Selection: Penei Sewell

Position: Offensive Tackle / College: Oregon

The Bengals need to protect their biggest investment, which is Joe Borrow. I know Jamar Chase seems tempting but please protect Joe Borrow.

  1. Team: Miami Dolphins

Selection: Jamar Chase

Position:  Wide Receiver / College: Louisiana State University

The best wide receiver in the draft. In 2019, he showed he was the top guy and he will be taking his talents to south beach to catch passes from Tua.

  1. Team: Detroit Lions

Selection: Jaylen Waddle

Position: Wide Receiver / College: Alabama

I believe they can take an offensive lineman at this spot but they go and get the fastest man in the draft.

  1. Team: Carolina Panther

Selection: Rashawn Slater

Position:  Offensive Tackle / College: Northwestern

They need to protect their new quarterback Sam Darnold. Rashawn Slater fits the bill.

  1. Team: Denver Broncos

Selection: Justin Fields

Position: Quarterback / College: The Ohio State University

The most disrespected quarterback in the draft. Denver has Teddy Bridgewater and Drew Lock, I don’t think they pass up on him. This can definitely trade this pick as well.

  1. Team: Dallas Cowboys

Selection: Patrick Surtain II

Position: Cornerback / College: Alabama

The most fundamentally sound corner in the draft. I think the Cowboys need concerns and Surtain II fits the bill.

  1. Team: New York Giants

Selection: Micah Parson

Position: Line Backer / College: Penn State

The best defender in the draft. The only reason he is in this spot is because of his off the field issues. If he has left those issues in the past then you got a top five player in the draft.

  1. Team: Philadelphia Eagles
bleacherreport.com

Selection: DeVonta Smith

Position: Wide Receiver / College: Alabama

The Eagles have the opportunity to reunite Alabama teammates. The reigning Heisman trophy winner has gotten some knock due to his slender build.

  1. Team: Los Angeles Chargers

Selection: Jaycee Horn

Position: Cornerback / College: South Carolina

The chargers would love to take an offensive lineman but in this situation, they take the best player available in Jaycee Horn.

  1. Team: Minnesota Vikings

Selection: Alijah Vera-Tucker

Position: Offensive Guard / College: University of Southern California

Tucker is one of the safest picks in this draft. He will play in this league for a long time.

  1. Team: New England Patriots

Selection: Mac Jones

Position: Quarterback / College: Alabama

Mac Jones will not be available at 15 but in this scenario he is, I do not do trades. The patriots will have to trade up to get Mac Jones. With the Alabama/Patriots connection, I think this is a marriage meant to be.
