Latoya, can you share your story behind your journey as an entreprenuer?

My entrepreneurial journey has been progressive and filled with challenges both personal and professional. I have grown tremendously through a combination of pioneer and wagon train methods to build and shape my private practice. It has been helpful to adapt a regular meditation, prayer and movement routine personally to navigate challenges along the way through grounding techniques. I absolutely love my therapist. You can not escape your stuff and in order to affect real change as a holistic therapist you have to adapt an intentional honest approach about where you are on your personal journey. I have also professionally utilized exploration techniques to put myself in environments that spark creativity, are encouraging and push me to show up in what may feel like the depths of a challenging season. My ancestry inspires my progressive trajectory in business. My ancestors sacrifices are alive and well.

As a BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) entrepreneur, how have your cultural background and experiences influenced your approach?

As a BIPOC Entrepreneur my background and experiences shape the core of what This Goes Out to You LLC embodies. We are a safe, subjective, clinically sound and therapeutic space for all people. I know what it feels like not to have a safe space within the many subgroups of my being. This Goes Out to You LLC holds space for you and welcome you with open arms.

What or who inspires you the most as an entrepreneur, and how does that inspiration translate into your work and business endeavors?

Inspiration comes from everywhere when you are a creative and driven by your senses. My clients, family, color changes of the season, musical tunes, being in nature and community inspire me. It has translated into us growing into a group practice, continuing our efforts to cultivate healthy business connections and collaborations and through bridging the gap between Mental Health and the community. I ensure connection to source through my relationship with my higher power, meditation and through movement.
