What inspired you to write and produce the play “The Trilogy — JESUS: The I Am”, and how does your faith play a role in the storytelling?
I had a dream where God instructed me to create a production that simplified the Trinity. He conveyed the message that He loves His people simply because He does. I wrote the play from the perspective of my personal relationship with the Trinity, and the love I experience fuels my faith and trust in them.
Can you give us a synopsis of the play?
This dynamic production showcases a family’s encounter with Jesus through music and dance. Audiences will be enlightened and uplifted, encouraged to explore and enhance their personal time with Jesus.
They will laugh, dance, and fall in love with this thrilling depiction of one aspect of the Trinity’s love.
Can you tell us about the team you worked with to bring this play to life? How did you choose your collaborators?
I collaborated with two different teams consisting of my church community and my personal creative arts company. During the vision process, God revealed to me who to select for this project.
What impact do you hope this play will have on the community or on individuals who watch it?
I aspire for this play to instill a sense of purpose and acceptance in the audience. I hope they feel inspired to pursue their God-given talents and, more importantly, that they experience the profound love of God.
How does your work in the arts serve as a platform for expressing your faith?
My work is designed to connect people with their God-given talents and encourage them to push the boundaries of their artistic expression, transcending human limitations or their own doubts.
Are there any future projects or themes you’re eager to explore that blend your entrepreneurial spirit with your passion for theater?
The trilogy I’m currently working on includes three productions. Our second installment, ‘Holy Spirit: My Breath,’ will debut in June, followed by the concluding part, ‘God: My Creator,’ in December.
What advice would you give to other faith-based entrepreneurs and artists who are looking to create meaningful work?
Look to the God who creates; He is my ultimate source of inspiration.
