Celebrating National Sauce Month With Black-Owned Sauce Brands

In 2021 Salon.Com reported that mambo (or mumbo) sauce, is the condiment that likely fueled the civil rights movement. How interesting is that? Right?

There is so much history behind the various types of sauces from each part of the globe. National Sauce Month is celebrated each year in the month of March and since sauce is so diverse, we’d love to celebrate diversity amongst brands. Here are some Black-owned sauce brands to support.

Eat UNrestricted

Eat UNrestricted is a brand making allergen-friendly, vegan cheese sauces that taste amazing.

Their carrot and potato-based sauce is an artificial color and preservatives free, naturally gluten-free, soy-free, dairy free, and nut/cashew free. This is truly a cheese dip/sauce that can be enjoyed by most if not all and has received 5-star reviews from their customers and local personal chefs that they’ve worked with. Co-founder Dianna King recently won the 2023 Innovators award from Black Women In Food by Dine Diaspora.
