A woman’s decor says a lot about her character
A woman’s decor expresses who she is without her having to say a word. Have you ever walked into a house and felt at home? Women express themselves through their home decor. The choice of color a woman uses to decorate her home tells a lot about her personality. When a woman gears more towards bright colors more than likely her personality is outgoing and friendly. On the other hand, earth-tone color such as browns, this woman is very chill, laid back and you may feel more at home in this type of space.
However, items a woman chooses to decorate with also play a major part in who she is. An example, you may have a woman who decorates with a ton of plants this woman is focused on nature, more than likely she advocates for sustainability.
On the other side of the spectrum, you may have a woman who decorates with expensive pieces these are the women who enjoy the luxuries of life.
Now let us discuss how you can bring out your inner character into your space. I will use some of the spaces I have decorated to help you. Here are some images of my bathroom. The vibe from my bathroom should tell you I am an advocate for self-care, I want to feel I am in a spa without being there. Using a lot of white tells you I want my space to feel clean and refresh.
Now here are images of my client’s bathroom immediately before I even started the décor, I really got to know who she is. I found out that she enjoys hosting family gatherings in her home, so I wanted to create an inviting space.
I decided to go with an earth-tone because I wanted it to feel inviting and this color is always safe for his and her spaces. Added the basket to the floor and a blanket flowing out makes it cozy and makes you feel at home.
Ask yourself “how do you want to feel in your space, what type of mood do you want to create, and how do you want others to feel?” Once you ask yourself these questions, let the fun begin – let’s decorate.
