Bertha Winston, the Chief Executive Officer of Destined2Millions and TheWinstonExperience, has been sharing her expertise in financial strategies since 2013. In addition to her role as a CEO, Bertha has excelled as a Mary Kay consultant for the past three decades. She also co-owns two event venue businesses named Intimate Events by the W and The Pavilion All-Inclusive Event and Conference Center, situated in the DMV area.
What made you choose to start your business?
Bertha: I started a business because I needed a tax shelter. I was paying taxes each year and I learned that starting a business would allow you to be taxed at 25 to 28% instead of 35 to 38%. That was a no brainer for me. I also learned that starting a business would lower your taxable income because you can write off expenses that you normally do not qualify for without a business, such as mileage, supplies, part of your home, travel, gas, interest, meals and entertainment and many more.
How would you describe your business to a potential customer?
Bertha: My business is a privately held, a debt free company, AA+ with the Better Business Bureau. We help people improve their credit, minimize taxes, eliminate debt and earn extra income from their cell phone or laptop via income shifting membership.
What do you think is the secret of excellent client service?
Bertha: The secret to excellent client service is providing a service or product that solves the client’s problem. It’s never about you, but the goal is to assure the client that your product and service is the solution to their problem and that you have their best interest.
What greatest successes have you ever had in the business industry?
Bertha: The greatest success I have had in the business industry is I have cashed flowed and paid off over $300,000 in debt. My taxable income has decreased to around $40,000 to $50,000 per year, I have raised my credit score to a 750 plus and at present I am debt free with the exception of my mortgage. I have helped other people obtain the same financial success.
What is the latest news you can share with us about your business or your individual upcoming projects?
Bertha: Because of my businesses, I have been featured on multiple platforms and magazines. I was a speaker on June 11, 2023 at the Ignite to Profit Conference in Atlanta, GA (“Book Profit Club)”. I will be featured in the Authors Allstar Conference magazine for all authors and I will be speaking at the Authors Allstar Conference for all authors on December 14–16 in Atlanta, GA. I have co-authored 4 Anthologies one of which is a #1 best seller “Unshakable Faith” and now the book is an International Best Seller in Australia, Dubai, Nigeria, Canada, Pakistan and Africa. On May 4, 2023, I published my 1st book “Love Like You’ve Never Been Hurt” and the next day it became the #1 best seller in 3 categories.

What are the company’s overall goals for this year?
Bertha: The company’s overall goal for this year is to empower and produce 100 millionaires. Continue to empower more people to income shift their money back into their household and help them become financial free by eliminating debt, improving their credit, invest like the pros and teach people the Rules of the Wealthy that is currently not being taught in schools.
