Has the pandemic literally cramped your style? When COVID crippled our world, it also crippled our desire to get dressed on purpose with purpose in mind. We found ourselves getting partially clothed for ZOOM meetings versus the boardroom. Be honest, your style for the virtual call is business casual from the waist up, being careful that the camera is positioned at just the right angle.
It has now been 10 months since we have really dressed for success. We are in the first quarter of 2021 and still faced with this pandemic. Let’s take this time to do a closet crush (a makeover). Sis, if you have not worn that blouse in two years or brother you just no longer feel that striped tie, you probably won’t. Make two piles in the corner of your room, one for trash and one to donate. If it is dingy and worn, TRASH IT. If it is gently used but no longer being worn, DONATE IT. Find your local non-profit organization that will accept these items based upon the need to supply outfits for individuals going back into the workforce and/or dress for success programs. Now that you have taken time to purge the old, let’s repurpose your closet pieces into styles that work for you.
