Amber Deas of A1LenzProductions isn’t just a powerhouse author, photographer, video director or producer. She has emerged as a force to be reckoned with as the curator of the successful Hit The Stage Artist Showcase series. The showcase referred to as “The event of the season” and “The hottest showcase in The Bay” was created and co-hosted by Amber and Safari McElroy aka as Fast Money Ferrari. The power couple in love and business have worked tirelessly to provide a platform and a positive experience for artists in the Bay area to not only display their talent, but also to network and receive feedback from industry professionals to facilitate artist development as well.
The first Hit The Stage Artist Showcase took place in March and was a huge success. Not resting on their laurels, they proved the event wasn’t a one-hit-wonder and came back even stronger with Hit The Stage 2. The event was held at Los Dos Plebes Nightclub in Largo, Florida. This venue was bigger with more room for artists on the stage and for guests on the dance floor. DJ. Beelow kept the crowd moving before, during and after the showcase. Guests in attendance came from near and far to show love and support for the very popular community-building event. The performance slots sold out for the second time with 20 artists who performed original content in front of three judges: @Strizzo, @DJNephew727 and @KushKavestudios vying for the top prizes.
With a diverse roster of talent, the competition was very strong. Although each artist brought their A-game and delivered crowd-pleasing performances, there could only be three winners.
The first prize went to Kyng 2 Turnt who set the stage on fire with a high energy, crowd-engaging performance that included a wardrobe change during his set. He owned the stage, commanded the attention of everyone at the show with his flow, confidence, and music that definitely added to an already impressive performance. Everyone was vibing with him and sang along as he performed. He was in the zone and was very comfortable demonstrating the art of performing live.
Second place went to Tha Kidd CT who from the time he hit the stage was full of energy. He looked like he was having the time of his life and acted like the stage was his home. The way he fluidly moved from the stage and throughout the crowd, you could tell audience engagement was an important aspect of his set. His flow, song choice, crowd excitement and stage presence were so good that it was just 1 point that separated him from the 1st place winner. He definitely showed he’s a force to be reckoned with in the industry.
Third place went to the smooth duo of J.C. X D.C. The lyrics, song choice, music and stage presence made for a special performance that was a crowd pleaser. Of the entire roster of performers, this duo captured the essence of the evening, which was good vibes only.
Amber and Safari are both artists and trailblazers creating not just an event, but also a movement that is just getting started. As artist, vendors, sponsors and the community anxiously await the date of Hit The Stage 3, the dynamic duo have proven that they have the formula for success.
