Amber Deas is the epitome of Black Girl Magic! She wears many hats as the Owner and Creative Director of A1Lenz Productions. The full service company specializing in photography, videography, production for movies, commercials, music videos, editing and brand marketing has come a long way since its inception is 2014. The St. Petersburg, FL native got her start with photography at showcases to master her craft and has grown her brand tremendously over time.
This media mogul is also a successful author. Her first book, “Who Do You Think You Are? A Motivational Guide to Becoming Your Best Self is a roadmap to help you achieve your personal and physical fitness goals. Her transparency about her own fitness journey resonated with readers who enjoyed the book. Her second book, entitled 51 Social Media Marketing Methods to Boost Business is for business owners to help them effectively market their brand and increase their presence in the online marketplace. She advises new entrepreneurs to “be consistent and follow your passion.”
With a diverse and impressive body of work to her credit, being an inspiration to her daughter, Rue, is her greatest achievement. Work-life balance is essential to her success. Family over everything isn’t merely a popular catchphrase; it is a way of life for her. She learned this trait from her father, Mark Deas, who she credits with getting her started in photography and being her greatest supporter. She says, “He’s someone who has worked his whole life and has a strong work mindset. He instilled a strong work ethic in me. He inspired me to take on new actions for my family and myself. He has given me the encouragement and wisdom that every parent should give to their child. He’s instilled a lot of great advice and has kept me grounded.”
In an effort to pay it forward, she is curating and co-hosting with Fast Money Ferrari the Hit The Stage Artist Showcase, that was held on March 16, 2022. The event was not only an opportunity for artist to display their talent and network, but also a chance to get feedback from industry professionals as well. As if that wasn’t incentive enough, there were trophies, cash prizes as well as studio time and photography sessions available for the winners. Amber says,” I want to help people and give them a chance to share their talent. I also want the city to see all of the hidden gem artists that St. Pete has to offer.”
Amber is busy creating new content, including videos, events, books geared towards entrepreneurs, and a documentary entitled the Rise of St. Pete about the bourgeoning music scene in the city. She is a hardworking, inspirational, professional who stays true to herself, loves to collaborate and embodies a phenomenal woman.
