The hopes for the future of Mental Health for Dr. Sasha Johnson, Chief Executive Owner of Sasha Mercedes, LLC and the Founder of Sister’s 2nd Chance are that the mask be removed. The Licensed Professional Counselor has a track record for being a role model and giving back to others in countless ways while being a Mom, Author, Radio Personality, Therapist, and Producer.
In addition to her passion for mental health awareness, Dr. Sasha is also passionate about ending gun violence. Sisters Second Chance is on the move focusing on bridging the gap between the Homeless community and Mentorship this season. Dr. Sasha has just begun a Mentorship program with teens at the focus. It is imperative to grab them young! This program provides a space where teens can be among their peers, be their authentic selves as well as learn new skills. Dr. Sasha recently participated in a Suicide prevention endeavor and has a Health Fair on the books for this coming July.
The way she utilizes her resources and platform to spread the word on numerous social awareness topics is Diversity Inclusion! Dr. Sasha noticed that there’s a disconnect when it comes to embracing individuality. Due to a lack of knowledge of other cultures, practices, and such she would like to use her platform to help bring awareness by including the community. She advocates for others to assist in uniting and learning how to respect each other’s differences.
Among the many projects she’s involved with, she is so excited about her campaign for the School Board at Large, community development, mental health awareness, diversity, and inclusion projects.
