Happy Women’s History Month! In what ways do you want to make history as a woman in the media and entertainment industry?

Remi: One of the ways that I would like to make history as a woman in the media and entertainment industry is I would like to own my own television network and cable channel. I would like to have independent filmmakers have their movies played there. One thing that I love to do is highlight others who are on their grind.

What does this time mean to you and how do you celebrate women’s history month?

Remi: It means a lot to me because many years ago women couldn’t even vote. Look at us now thriving, succeeding, and making major moves in the world. I celebrate women’s history month by giving other women the flowers that they deserve

In what ways do you feel you have experienced rebirth, growth, and renewal in your professional or personal life?

Remi: I have experienced rebirth whenever I grow and learn hard real-life lessons. Sometimes I wish I knew what I knew now back then. I also feel like then who would I be today? The timeline is as it should be.

As a professional, what is your process for obtaining a work and life balance?

Remi: This is something that I still struggle with to this day. I have to honestly say that I am still learning how to do this. I work way more than have fun, and this is something that I really need to change. Life is short and we should take the time to enjoy it a lot more.

What are you currently working on?

Remi: I started a non-profit organization called Remi TV Nation. The non-profit does community and philanthropy affairs in the state of Rhode Island. Currently, the non-profit is preparing a Narcan allocation project. The assignment will aid individuals who are struggling with addiction. The Narcan project aspires to distribute 150–500 Narcans in five towns in the state of Rhode Island.

What do you hope for women of color through your craft?

Remi: I hope that they get the exposure that they need and deserve. I hope for their business to gain more customers and for them to become six-figure boss babes.

What advice would you give to women in art and entertainment to sustain healthy mental health?

Remi: I would say take as many breaks as you need to. To do the things we do we need to be healthy mentally and physically. Make sure you are getting enough sleep at night and spend time having fun and resetting. The more you do that the more you will have the energy to get things done while in the right headspace.
